Water for Life Decade
Neer Foundation is determined to provide the small children, especially those coming from poor families, the assurance of safe & hygienic drinking water and sanitation at their school where they spend most of the active times.
To begin with, Neer foundation has determined to help this most vulnerable group through its unique intervention programs at schools both in terms of access & awareness.
Specifically, Neer Foundation shall undertake the following activities in the school:
Undertake detail study of the drinking water quality & sanitation facilities available in the schools
Provide FREE OF COST GOOD QUALITY WATER PURIFYING SYSTEMS which need minimum maintenance, can also run without electricity and if required with purified water storage facility.
Educate the children on basic PERSONAL HYGIENE GUIDELINES which not only reduce incidence of diseases in them but also enable these children in turn propagate these good practices to their community through their parents.
Neer Foundation shall also endeavor, wherever possible, to augment the existing sanitation systems in the schools or provide High Quality Zero Discharge sanitation systems if such necessity ari
